"Hello all. I want to share that I just got a respite caregiver during the day 2 days this week. I could just cry from the difference I feel already. I feel like I hit the reset button. My patience and good humour are restored. ( for now, lol) What a difference that little break is making. I was … well in an awful state. Exhausted, overwhelmed, angry, resentful and heartbroken. I have had her in my care for 5 months now. But being able to leave and know she is safe and happy and not think about it and her situation every second I am gone…. Is a blessing. I didn’t think that a few hours would make a difference, but it really did for me. I feel renewed and ready to face this all head on again, at least rn. So I’m feeling very grateful today." Anonymous
